The Effect of Silicon-Containing Minerals on Coal Evolution at High-Temperature Pre-Graphitization Stage

It was found SEM micromorphology all mainly massive structures. Meanwhile, irregular polyhedral structures also observed in at 1300 °C, which related to formation deposition SiC. carbothermal reactions continued generate SiC precipitate resulting gradual transformation needle-like into However, completely decomposed 2800 °C. These changes indicated stage, form advance reduction interlayer spacing increase longitudinal layer stacking height, thereby enhancing structural ordering graphitization degree, had less effect lateral size. This will help further understand role provide useful information about synthetic graphite.
